Cy Scott was born in 1994 and raised just outside Johnson City, Tennessee. He started drawing and creating art as soon as he could hold a pencil and never stopped. Living in a rural area with thoughts and emotions often considered odd; art became an outlet for his loneliness. Art brought him comfort and a way to express himself that he didn't know how to make otherwise. After years of struggling it wasn't until he started his Fine Arts degree at East Tennessee State University in 2013 that he sought help for his difficulties. After that, he fully understood what was wrong and how to cope. A desire came over him to aid others like him; so he set forth to creating raw and emotional pieces. His goal was to draw awareness to mental illness and encourage people to seek help. He's excited to continue this road of self-discovery, healing, and aid. He should be getting is Bachelors in Fine Arts in Fall 2018.
